Circa 2006, Nissi’s, a supper club in Lafayette, booked a series called “G. Brown & Friends,” where artists featured in the book Colorado Rocks! joined author G. Brown onstage, creating a vibe much like a cross between “Inside the Actors Studio” and “MTV Unplugged”—intimate in-depth interviews interspersed with acoustic performances by the musicians. One show was professionally filmed—Todd Park Mohr, who had just turned 40, graced the Nissi’s stage in his very first solo appearance external of Big Head Todd & the Monsters.
